How do I pay the entry fee?

Your credit/debit card information is maintained by PayPal and is not shared with the festival. Please visit the PayPal Help Center if you have further questions or experience any problems.
Why do I need to register with the festival to submit images?
Signing up to the festival website ensures that we have your contact information should you win and that you have read and accepted the Terms of Conditions for the Awards.
How do I know that you've received my entry?
You will be taken to Your Profile where you will see a confirmation message that you images have been received. You will also receive a confirmation email.
I didn't receive my confirmation email. Why not?
Some Internet Service Providers have filters that block or filter emails sent from unknown addresses. If you have a "junk mail" box, check to see if that's where the email has ended up. If you use software to monitor your email, make sure your settings aren't blocking the festival's emails. Save website@lfph.org in your address book to help solve this issue.
I accidentally uploaded the wrong photo. Can I delete my entry and submit a new photo?
Unfortunately, due to the large volume of photos submitted to the Awards, all entries are final and cannot be replaced or modified.
Is image manipulation allowed?
Cropping, minor burning, dodging, and basic colour correction and high dynamic range images (HDR) are acceptable in keeping with a realistic representation of the subject. Stitched panoramas are NOT acceptable. We trust our participants to keep within these rules. We cannot research every photo entry. However, if a photo is chosen as a winner, it will be scrutinised for possible alterations. See the Rules page for more information.
Do photos have to be taken with a digital camera?
Submitted photos must be digital JPEGS but can be taken on a film camera. Digital scans are acceptable, as long as the end result is a JPEG file. You may submit scans of negatives, transparencies, or photographs taken with film cameras. You may not email or post photographs to the festival unless by a prior written agreement.
Will my entries appear on the website?
Yes all entries will appear on the website. You can choose to be credited as "anonymous" or you can request (by email) to have your photos hidden.
I’d like to enter a photo that has previously been published. Is that allowed?
Yes, you may enter a photo that has previously been published.
What should I include in the description of my photograph?
Captions are a good way to engage others in your photography. Take the time to write about the place, time, setting, and situation. Think what, where, when, how and why.

What are the prizes?
The prizes include a solo exhibition in London, cash prizes of £2,500 and a full expenses paid trip to London. See the Prizes page for further information.
