The London Festival of Photography presents:
STAND YOUR GROUND
Stand Your Ground is the festival's ongoing campaign to highlight the varying issues facing photographers today and fight for image makers' rights. Each year the festival will get to the heart of a specific subject. Content will range from documentary films to debates with decision makers and targeted events. Alongside raising awareness we are committed to campaigning for real and lasting change.
The first Stand Your Ground campaign in 2011 focused on the policing of public space by private security guards. Other issues will range from the delicate subject of photographing children to online copyright debates and surveillance culture. Although stemming from photography related problems, Stand Your Ground campaigns will be beneficial to the wider public by becoming part of the ongoing civil battle to ensure our public freedoms are protected.
If you have an issue you'd like us to look into please contact us.
